Project Pan - Empties

It has been a while since I've updated on my project pan oops. I have been going pretty steadily through my products, both full sized and the what seems like the never ending samples I have. I also did a bit of a clean out of items I just know I will never use so I have cleared a fair bit out over the past month.

Onto what I have used up, and my thoughts on each product:

Davroe Replenish creme treatment, 50g
I received this in one of my Lust Have It boxes and it is perfectly suited to my dry hair. My hair puts up with a lot - blow drying, straightening, curling, colouring, sun exposure etc etc, and I am always on the look out for a good in-home treatment. This 'Replenish' creme treatment was perfect. It left my hair feeling silky, smooth and loved. Not to mention the divine smell , passionflower and ylang ylang just yum! It was easy to use, quick working (5 mins - which is how long I leave conditioner in for anyway) and a little goes a long way. Repurchase? Yes!

RPR leave-in moisturiser
I bought this a a while ago when I had platinum blonde hair and didn't want to give up the colour. My hair was sooo dry and horrid so I went on a spree to find the perfect product for dry brittle hair. Unfortunately nothing really worked and had to go back to brown hair to save it from falling out. I have used this product on and off since, and I find it to not really do much on the dryness but it did work well to tame a bit of fizz. Repurchase? No

Polished London dry shampoo
As I wash my hair every 3 days, dry shampoo gives it a little pick up in between washes. I tried this one out as I have dark brown hair and was finding other dry shampoos would leave me with a little grey tinge. This  worked great however the smell was pretty toxic, I couldn't stand in one spot after spraying, I'd have to move to another part of the house! The smell didn't hang around in my hair though so I can put up with it. Repurchase? Yes

Nivea body lotion
This is a fantastic body lotion for me. It soaks in well, leaves my skin feeling moisturised and soft and smells good. Not much more that I can say! Repurchase? Already have

Formula 10.0.6 Mud Mask
This claims to help clear clogged pores but I found that it didn't really help at all. It left my skin feeling a bit tight and dry after washing it off, and I hate that feeling. I've only used it 4 or 5 times so it is actually still have full, but I've found other masks to be so much better so I'm not wasting my time on this one any longer. Repurchase? No

Pure Fiji hydrating body lotion
This smells divine, but that's about the extent of it. It left my skin feeling a bit greasy and felt like forever to soak in. I don't really feel like it hydrated my skin either. Repurchase? No

Pure Fiji exotic oil
This smelt divine as well (I don't think anything beats Pure Fiji for amazing fragrance!) and was a good oil for massaging. I actually got a few massages out of my fiance (those are few and far between!!) and it felt so luxurious, like I'd just spent a day in a spa. Repurchase? Perhaps, if I get the extra cash

Beauty Care green tea facial wipes
These are from Kmart and are ridiculously cheap. I found them to be a little rough on my skin though, especially around the eyes for removing mascara etc. I found they dried out quite quickly too, so much so that the last few wipes in the pack were unusable. Repurchase? No

Simple cleansing facial wipes
Now these are much better wipes! They were nice and gently removed makeup, even around the eyes very well. They left my skin feeling really clean and smooth. Repurchase? Yes!

Montague Jeunesse Mud Pac
This trial size mask was received on one of my beauty box subs. I have seen these around in Woolies and Coles a fair bit but never thought about trying them. I followed the instructions and cleansed first, but as soon as I applied it started tingling my skin which got progressively worse the longer I left it on. I washed it off after a couple of minutes and it left my skin red and inflamed. The pack does say to do a test first, but I've never really had a reaction like that before so didn't bother. My skin was really sensitive for a couple of hours and the redness subsited quite quickly, so not to bad of a reaction but bad enough! Repurchase? Definately not.

Lucas' Papaw Ointment
This is the best thing ever for dry and cracked feet. I slather it all over my feet every night, put cotton socks on, and every morning wake up to super soft feet. It is just a miracle worker ointment! Repurchase? YES!!

Avene Hydrance Optimale, rich hydrating cream
I have dry to combination skin and this is supposed to be for dry to very dry sensitive skin, so I tried it out after being in the shearing sheds for a week, where my skin gets dry and feral from the heat and sweat. It didn't leave my skin feeling very hydrated as it kind of just sat on my skin. It is to rich of a cream for me. When applying makeup over this it made my skin greasy and shiny. Good to try, but a no for me. Repurchase? No

Palmer's gentle exfoliating facial scrub
This was another sample, 15g, and lasted me about 3 weeks using it 2-3 times a week. I found this to be very gentle and not to abrasive. It's often a fine line for a facial scrub to be either too gentle or too abrasive and I found this one got it right. - it does look like it's going to be harsh though! I did find that it was a little hard to wash off, so I would suggest using this in the shower rather than over the sink. The smell put me off a little too, it's very artifical smelling (much like the rest of the Palmer's range) not like cocoa butter at all. Repurchase? No - it's the smell that puts me off getting this again

La Roche-Posay Melt in BB Cream
I really liked the sound of this BB cream, as it was SPF 30+. This is aimed at sensitive skin. First of all I thought this tiny tube, 3ml, would last 1 or 2 uses however I got 4 of 5! A little goes a long way with this. It has a very light almost wet consistency which is why I think it goes so far. It does blend in well however it did leave my skin feeling slightly oily and I got a bit of a shine in my t-zone. It is a very very light coverage and barely covered red spots and only just evened out my skin so blemishes and dark under eyes need extra concealer. Repurchase? No, I prefer a little more coverage

Avene Soothing moisture mask
This was a lovely moisturising mask. It has a fairly thick creamy consistency which makes it easy to apply evenly to your face. Fist time I tried this I left it on for about 15 minutes, after which the majority of it has soaked in and I only had to wipe off a small amount. My skin felt soft, hydrated and I swear looked brighter. The second time I used this was overnight, I applied it as normal but just went to sleep. I found this was the best way of using this product - my skin glows! Repurchase? Yes

Aveda Hydrating Cream
This was not a nice cream to use. It dragged horribly on my skin and didn't feel like it was hydrating at all? After putting this on my skin was tight and dry. I washed it off straight away! Repurchase? Definately not.

Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner
I found this eyeliner to be a little difficult to use, the brush that comes with it is a little fat for my liking and makes it hard to get a thin line on my eyelid. I also found it didn't last very long - it smudged very easily and I always ended up with smudges on the top of my eyelids. It dried out quite quickly too, only lasted about 2 months before it got very difficult to get out of the pot. For me, i'd prefer a liquid liner as I found it a little unhygenic with the brush always seperate. Repurchase? No

Napoleon Set powder foundation
This is Napoleon's line for Target (at least I think it is only for Target). This was actually an impulse buy, it was on sale so thought I'd try it out (I think it usually goes for about $30 but got it for $12!). I was suprised by how much I liked it. The packaging is great - it comes with it's own sponge, with a little seperate compartment for it. It glides on my skin well and doesn't dry it out and leaves a nice matte finish. Repuchase? Yes

Clinique colour surge eye shadow quad
This eye shadow has four shades which are nude, pink and browns. The pink and browns are quite shimmery which I wasn't a big fan of but I found the nude was a great eyeshadow base and used the brown as a contour. I hardly touched the pink. I found it a fairly good eyeshadow which lasted the majority of the day. Repurchase? No, perhaps a palette without the pink though.

Clinique blushing powder
This is a great blush, with a subtle pink colour which gives my cheeks a nice little glow. Unfortunately I dropped it and it smashed so I only got a month or so use out of it. Repurchase? Maybe

Clinique high lengths mascara
This is a good mascara made better by the brush. It is a soft, rubbery kind of brush which moves easily with your lashes to coat them all well. It lengthens well however i found it got a little clumpy towards the end. Repurchase? No

Clinique high impact mascara
This mascara dried out so quickly, I only got a couple of uses out of it. Don't know if it was an old sample I received or if it is indeed the mascara. Repurchase? No

Clinique redness solutions
This was a suprisingly good foundation. It is a medium coverage foundation which I like and is non-oily and non-drying. I don't actually suffer from redness so I can't really say how well it works that way, but overall a good foundation. It is easy to blend and lasts a long time. Repurchase? No, I don't need a redness coverage so I'll opt for my normal foundation.

The rest of the empties this month are crap that I am throwing out as I know I'll never use:

As you can see a fair amount of ModelCo (yuck). I won't bother reviewing each item as some I have hardly used, just tested and learnt it was rubbish!

I've made a good dent into my stash this month, and throwing out some crap was good too!
