Anyway, that aside April's 'box' has seen the launch of their new packaging! A lovely little clear pouch, with pink and gold trim with 'Lustre Beauty' printed on the front. I am really impressed with it, it feels fairly good quality, with a good strong zip. In my opinion this packaging is much better than a box as it can be used more and even double as gifts. Really happy! Here is what I received in the box. Hmm feels weird saying that now! Pouch? Package?
Glamourflage Jane Gem Face Primer - full size 8.5ml
RRP $22.95
This was the product we got to choose for April, between this and a cheek/lip stain. I really like that LHI give the option for us to choose. Brilliant idea! I have not tried Glamourflage products before so am happy to see a new product/brand included. The packaging is super cute, with a little pull out box which contains the product. It is a brush on primer, which I am not really the biggest fan of, as I feel it can be unhygenic, and it does actually make it a little harder to apply so I brushed it on my hand and applied with my fingers. It is a gel like consistency with a faint smell (not strong). I was a little disappointed in the finish though, it made my skin a little dry and made my makeup a little cakey. I am going to try it again though, perhaps I used to much?
Claytime mineral bronzer - full size 3g
RRP $29.95
There was a massive to do on facebook page about the mix up in the sizing of this bronzer and whether it was full size or not. The contents list says it is full size 10g but they (together with Claytime) have since clarified that this was a typo, and this is a full sized limited edition bronzer. I personally don't see the big deal but a lot of people were very very angry!
I haven't opened this one yet as I have some other bronzers I want to get through first. I have heard it is very pigmented and a little goes a long way so I am looking forward to trying it out.
Bioderma Atoderm Cream - 15ml
RRP $29.95, 200ml
This nourishing cream is designed for use on both the face and body. It is for dry to very skin so I won't use it on my face. I tried it out on my body and it is a thick creamy consistency but kind of just sits on top of my skin and feels greasy and sticky. Not too impressed with this one, it is just not suited to my skin type.
WotNot Facial Wipes - pack of 5 wipes
RRP $7.95, 25 wipes
I have used these before and they were good, except I'm not really into using face wipes anymore. I will get some use out of them though so not a waste!
Aveeno daily moisturiser lotion - 29ml
RRP $9.99, 225ml
I have had this in a different beauty box previously and it is a good moisturiser. It hydrates my skin without feeling greasy. A great little addition as these are good for travelling.
Overall, this box is okay - it isn't great. They have included two similar products (Bioderma and Aveeno) which I don't like to see. 3 of the 5 products have been seen before too, and as for the primer, from first impressions it isn't too good. Oh well, I have been really happy with LHI and there will always be a not so good box. I am looking forward to see what May brings!
