Mirenesse haul

I was introduced to the Mirenesse brand after receiving a lip bomb in a Her Fashion Box. Although I received a colour which I wouldn't necessarily wear, I just loved the product. Highly pigmented, moisturising and long lasting. I had a look at their website and read lots of reviews and finally decided to take the plunge and make an order. They always have specials and good deals on their products (and I do mean ALWAYS. Once you sign up to their newsletter you get an email almost every day with deals!) so I decided to finally take advantage!

I ordered a birthday surprise box for $19.95, a skin clone powdered foundation for $64.95 and a Kitty's surprise box for $18.40. I used a vogue voucher for 20% off, received free shipping and also received two bonus samples. All in all, cost me $70.82.

I was very impressed with the service. The website is easy to use, you receive contact straight away and the items were packed and shipped the next day. The items are packed nicely, all packed in different little boxes (as you can see from the photo above). My outer box was damaged (thanks Australia Post) but luckily nothing inside was hurt! Each product comes with a little information card which is great as it gives info on how to use it, what it is for and ingredients.

So what did I get? First up, the Skin Clone Foundation Mineral Face Powder in Vienna:

 

 

It comes in a pretty little compact, with a mirror and a sponge. The foundation gives a nice matte finish and doesn't cake on my skin. It can easily be built up to give a good full coverage either using the sponge or a brush. I found it easier to use the sponge. I have also used it as a powder, using the provided sponge, over my regular foundation and this gives good results too. The info card says it can be used wet or dry, so I tried it wet although unfortunately it just caked and dried my skin out in some areas so I will stick to using it dry. Overall I am really happy with this product, it suits my skin tone perfectly and gives me the coverage I am after.

 

Next up, the birthday suprise box, which contained 6 surprise products.

Two of my purchases were suprise boxes, and I did this because I couldn't really decide what to try (apart from knowing I wanted to try the powdered foundation). It isn't my birthday and I can't figure out if you can just buy these anytime or once you've made an account you can only order in your birthday month... Anyway here are the products:
