Bellabox - May 2014 review

My Bellabox was the first of my subscription boxes to arrive this month, on the 28th May. The theme for this month's box is 'Come Fly With Me'. Appelles Rosemary Body Bar (full size) RRP $5.95 100g

This has a beautiful smell. I'm a shower gel kind of girl as I have always found soaps to dry out my skin. I'm going to try this one, but I'd say it will stay with all my other scented soaps and just be for hand washing! I love the fact that this is Australian and full of organic ingredients.

 

Chapstick Lip Conditioner (full size) RRP $3.99 4.2g

Sick of receiving chapsticks! Yeah, it's a good lip balm but I have 4 now, all from subscription boxes and would have preferred to see a different brand. I will use it though (eventually!) so not too bad.

 

Timeless Truth Face Mask (full size) RRP $8 30ml (1 mask)

I love using these kind of masks so I'm happy to receive this. I received a 'Multipeptide Calming Revitalising Mask' which is designed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles as well as hydrating your skin. The packed suggests that for best results a mask should be used 3 - 4 times a week.... but at $8 a pop I really can't see myself wanting to fork out that much!

 

Wen by Chaz Dean Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner (60ml) RRP $34.99 480ml

I have seen a few ads for this brand with that annoying chick from Charmed... I wasn't ever really that interested in it, and the fact it comes in a sachet (UGH so annoying, especially for a hair product!!) doesn't improve my thoughts! I'm not really to sure what the big rave is about this, and the packet doesn't really shed any light either? Bellabox says it is designed to hydrate and replenish hair without stripping it's natural oils but don't most conditioners do that? I'll try it out though.

 

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel Clear (2.5ml) RRP $39 7.93g

I was interested in this as soon as I saw it on the card, I love anything and everything to do with brows! However, this smells awfully strong of chemicals and alcohol. It literally smells like vodka. Anything that smells that badly of chemicals is not going on my face!!

 

Invisible Zinc Tinted Daywear SPF30+ 5g RRP $32 50g

I have used this before and it made me break out unfortunately. It just isn't suited to my skin so I won't be using this.

 

So there you go, the May Bellabox. Overall I'm not too impressed, it is a pretty meh box. I'm looking forward to trying the mask and the soap but that is about it! What do you think? Are you subscribed to Bellabox?
