Current Morning Skincare Routine

As my wedding gets closer and closer (5 weeks to go, what the hell!) I've decided I need to get back to my tried and true skincare routine. In the recent months, largely thanks to my beauty box subscriptions, I have been trying out new skincare products, and not all have been great for my skin. Nobody wants dull, blemishy skin for their wedding so in the past couple of weeks I've gone back to my normal routine and my skin has really seen the difference.

I thought I'd share with you my current morning skincare routine. I have oily/combination skin prone to blemishes.

 1. CLEANSE
I am in love with the Avene Cleanance range. It really does do wonders for my skin - it completely agrees with it! This cleansing gel gives my skin a good thorough clean without drying it out, and really makes a difference to my blemishes. I have read a lot of reviews where people thought it was too harsh, but for me it's perfect. Holy Grail stuff this!

2. TONE
Avene's toning lotion is again, perfect for me. It helps to absorb excess oil - after a few weeks back on this stuff coupled with the cleanser I really have seen a difference in the oil production of my skin. It also doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry. I went years without using a toner but I really can't live without it now! It's so refreshing.

3. SERUM
I'm not really too religious with a serum and at times I will forget to use it but Indio's Vitamin C Serum really is a worthy addition to my routine. Since using this baby my skin is brighter and more clear. I can't really comment on it's anti-aging claims as I don't have to many wrinkles but for me, this is all about the radiance!

4. EYE CREAM
I discovered Indio Eye Rise through Bellabox and it is one of the greatest finds ever! This smooths on my eyes beautifully, helps to plump my delicate skin AND is tinted so helps to conceal dark circles. Wonder product!

5. MOISTURISE
I use Bioderma Sebium AKN and I know that a lot of people wouldn't use this as a moisturiser but for me it works great as just that. This works perfectly with the other oil controlling/blemish controlling products and  also works great under makeup. It's lightweight and non-greasy which is great.

If I am having a particularly bad skin day, and i'm not planning on wearing foundation I use Botani Rescue Acne Cream as a spot treatment on nasty blemishes. I did a full review on this cream here.

I think it is worth mentioning that for me, healthy radiant looking skin is not all about what you put on it. I am eating well (cutting out processed foods and sugar), excercising and drinking plenty of water and this, coupled with my consistent skincare routine, is really doing wonders for my skin.

Are you strict with your skincare routine? What products are you using?
