Here are the products I use on my oily/combination skin at night:
1. MAKEUP REMOVER
For those days that I have worn makeup I use Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water to remove it. This is very gentle but very effective and sets my skin up perfectly for cleansing.
2. CLEANSE
Ever since I heard the phrase "double cleanse" my life has changed (geez, dramatic much!?). I really reap the rewards of a double cleanse with Avene's Cleanance Cleansing Gel. This removes any residual makeup, dirt, grime all without drying out my skin. As I said in my morning routine post, this stuff is holy grail for me. Lately I have been using this with my Olay Regenerist Cleansing Brush (sorry not pictured) which just ups cleansing to another level. I am writing a review on this brush as we speak and that will be up soon.
3. EXFOLIATE
I use Sukin's revitalising facial scrub 2 - 3 times a week. I actually use to use this daily (it really is that gentle) but since using a cleansing brush I found I don't actually need to. This uses bamboo extract and ground walnut shells to exfoliate, so it isn't harsh and it smells wonderful too.
4. TONE
I know a lot of people skip toning at night but I can't, I find it to refreshing to skip! It really does refresh my complexion without drying it out or giving me any of that ick tight feeling. This, coupled with the cleanser is a match made in heaven.
5. TREATMENT
I was introduced to the John Plunkett Glyco Peel in one of my beauty subscription boxes and since trying it haven't looked back. I was worried at first it would be far to harsh but it really has done wonders for my skin. I use this for a week at a time every night and then take a week (sometimes more) off. Note, when I'm using this I don't use a cleansing brush when cleansing as I feel like it's just exfoliation overload!
6. EYE CREAM
I use Indio Eye Perfect at night. I haven't actually been using this for too long so the jury is still out as to how good a job it is doing. It does feel lush on my eye area and that's the reason I've continued to use it.
7. MOISTURISE
At night I use my Avene Cleanance Lotion. I know it's not a night cream per-say but for my skin it works. This gives my skin plenty of moisture but helps to absorb excess oil at the same time. I love using this product. If I have any nasty blemishes I use Botani Rescue Acne Cream as a spot treatment. This works really well at reducing the size and redness of those hideous hormonal blind awful pimples.
So there you have it, my current night skincare routine. For me it's working, most mornings I wake up to soft, supple skin.
What products do you use at night?
