September's pack was received in another pink bag, which I'm kind of getting sick of - there are only so many you need! I have some good ideas to use these as gifts though and they are of good enough quality that I am willing to give them away! Anyway, onto what we received:
The Cosmetic Kitchen Macadamia Highlighter (full size)
Before I read the card I did actually think this was a sample size as it is quite small. This highlighter is a cream, and made with Australian Macadamia Nut Wax. This has an applicator like a lip gloss and has a beautiful creamy consistency although it did feel a bit sticky from first use. It is also not to shimmery and I am very excited to experiment with this! I've never used a cream highlighter so this is an excellent addition.
This is a nice inclusion as it's different to a run of the mill nail polish (which you seem to constantly get from beauty boxes). I received the colour Golden Girl which I'm really happy about - I have been keen to try a gold polish for a long time, and the fact that this includes some decos is lovely.
This was the item we were able to choose a colour but unfortunately I missed that and couldn't specify the colour I wanted - from the reviews I have already read it seems that may not have been a problem as the actual colour vs online swatches are VERY different. I received the colour 'Morocco'. I did give this a go as I thought I should give it a fair review but it is the same, horrible shit as the rest of their lip products (and line). It's sticky and feels horrible to wear, it is also a weird gloopy consistency which reminds me of out of date lipgloss. It does however have a lovely smell (like strawberries) and does give a nice shine to your lips but for me I can't bear the stickiness. Yuck.
I've never heard of this brand (win) so it is great to see that. This smells divine, very fresh. It is a thickish cream but is slightly on the runny side. It takes a bit to rub in however once it dries it leaves your skin feeling (and smelling) amazing. This is a very generous sample and I would definately think about buying full size, even just from the one use! Love this!
This is a soap-free cleanser formulated for very sensitive skin. I am super happy with my current cleanser so I doubt I'll use this (plus I don't really have sensitive skin). I may just put this in with gifts.
I can't say that I am to excited about using ModelCo skincare! Although even though I dislike the brand I will try these out, just to get a gauge at what they are like. Just because they make (in my opinion) rubbish cosmetics doesn't mean this range is rubbish too (their tanning products are great!). I'll likely use the facial wipes first, I like that they are double sided.
Overall, I think this was a great box. Apart from the lip lacquer I will use the majority of the products. It is also everything I want in a beauty box! A brand I've never used and 2 products I've never used. I can forgive the lateness of LHI when this is what they send. Very happy! Plus the products are all worth over $50! Win!
What do you think? Was this worth the wait?
