Empties - June/July

I have managed to finish a load of products over the last two months, and not just samples either - a few full sized products (which is the whole aim I suppose!) I celebrated that by purchasing another load of products... Oops! Here are my thoughts on what I've used up....

Gatineau Aquamemory moisture replenish cream gel
This is the first I've tried of this brand. It was okay but not 100% suited to my skin type. It did leave my face feeling nice but made me shiny so I didn't use the rest of the tube.
Repurchase? No

Avene Cleanance Toner
This is my favourite toner I have ever used. I really truly feel like this makes a difference to my skin. Since it ran out a couple weeks ago I already feel like my skin is more oily. I can't wait till I get this again, definitely my go to toner (along with the rest of the Cleanance range)
Repurchase? Already have, waiting for it to turn up in the post!!

Happy Skincare Cloud 9 Deep Cleansing Balm
Ohhh I just loved this. It left my skin feeling so clean and refreshed, this is on my wish list for the moment. I've been stalking the Happy Skincare website and want to try so many things.
Repurchase? Yes

ASAP anti-aging night cream
This felt good on my skin however had quite a strange smell to it that hung around for a while. My pillows were even smelling of it and my fiancé was not a fan! It was a good product but I have used better, and the smell is enough to not make me want more.
Repurchase? No

Garnier Ultra Lift day cream
I am quite a big fan of Garnier, everything I have tried does work well however I'd prefer a moisturiser which is aimed at my skin type specifically rather than any skin type. I also don't really like pots too much as I'm too tempted to stick my fingers in there and it's not very hygienic!
Repurchase? No

Bioderma Sebium AKN Purifying Corrective Care
Love love love this. This worked well on my blemishes, even with such a small sample. A little goes a long way and I used it as a spot treatment rather than all over my face. It tingled a little but nothing to get worked up about. For me, it made my blemishes less angry!
Repurchase? Yes, already have

St Tropez Gradual Face Tan (with anti-aging)
Love this brand, it is by far my favourite when it comes to fake tan and it is the one I currently use for my body. I was still trying to find that perfect face fake tan that didn't make me break out and wasn't to dark and I think I've finally found it! This was beautiful to use, just a hint of colour and from the couple uses I got out of it no blemishes!
Repurchase? Yes definitely! A great find.

Clinique turnaround overnight radiance moisturiser
This is a great night moisturiser, it's nice creamy and soothing. It keeps my skin hydrated but isn't too rich. This is definitely one of the best night moisturisers I've used.
Repurchase? Most likely

Babe Green Tea Scrub
This was so lovely to use in the shower, it smelt so lush. I didn't really see any special benefits though so I wouldn't purchase it again. I'd rather use a cheaper body wash coupled with an exfoliating glove.
Repurchase? No

Urban Rituelle Soothing Body Balm (Frangipani and Coconut & Honey)
These are some of the best body lotions I've tried. I'm in love with Urban Rituelle! I preferred the smell of the Coconut & Honey. The lotion melts right into your skin and leaves it feeling smooth and silky and most importantly NOT greasy! Lush!
Repurchase? Yes, definately

Tony&Guy Shampoo for fine hair
Love this shampoo, it gives my limp fine hair a bit of a boost. At first I thought it was all in my head, but since I've been using another brand since this ran out I have noticed my hair is a bit more lank.
Repurchase? Yes, I have a big stock sitting in my bathroom cupboard!

Vaseline Ultimate 10 anti-ageing Lotion
You can always count on Vaseline being a good product which is super good value. Although I don't think the 'anti-ageing' claim made any difference it was a good all round body lotion.
Repurchase? Maybe

Seacret Ocean Mist Body Lotion
This was okay, it smelt lovely but left my skin a bit greasy and was hard to rub in.
Repurchase? No

Clinique Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle Cream
This is a fantastic hand cream. My hands get super dry from farm work and constantly washing them and this is one of the only hand creams (apart from Mor) which actually hydrated and smoothed my hands and lasted ages. All the others seem to just make my hands feel good whilst rubbing the cream in, and then they instantly go back to dry! It is super easy to rub in and doesn't leave my hands greasy either. Happy I found this.
Repurchase? Definately

NP Set Pre Foundation Pore Perfecting Primer
This is a gel-like primer which melts easily into the skin and allows makeup to glide on. It gave my skin a great look and minimised the look of my pores however it seemed to make my foundation last for a lot less than normal. For that reason I wouldn't use it again.
Repurchase? No

Garnier BB Cream
Ahh this is my favourite BB Cream by a country mile. It smooths my skin, reduces the look of my pores, provides a medium coverage and is just all round brilliant! I seriously can't big this up enough. For my oily skin it is just amazing.
Repurchase? Certainly!

Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser
I adore this product. It provides just enough coverage for daily use and unlike a lot of tinted moisturisers I have used, doesn't clog my pores or push my oily skin into oily overdrive! I do have to wear conceraler with this though, as it doesn't cover my dark eye circles enough.
Repurchase? Yes

Mary Kay Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover
This was a pretty stock standard makeup remover, I wouldn't rave to much about it.. I mean it does what it says on the tin but it just left my skin feeling a little off.... I also had to use what felt like ten tonne to remove mascara.
Repurchase? No

Eslor Introductory Collection
This was a sample pack containing samples of the Soothing Refiner and Cleanser, Replenishing Scrub, Comforting Mask and Soothing Cream.
I thought the cleanser was okay, nothing special really. It cleaned my skin but didn't make it feel extra nice or anything. I liked the texture of the scrub, it was not too harsh and left my skin feeling smooth and clean. The Mask was another great product, a nice green mask which dried perfectly - it was easy to remove. The Soothing Cream however was not my cup of tea, it did nothing for my skin - It left my skin feeling dry and horrible.
Repurchase? Overall I wasn't that impressed, the only thing I'd think about trying again was the Mask.

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser
This did leave my skin feeling fresh and worked well at removing makeup, I just have found that other cleansers make my skin feel that little bit better.
Repurchase? No

Om She Buff Away Facial Polish
Oh dear this had the most horrid chemically smell. I used this once and felt like my skin was getting torn off. Not a good feeling so didn't touch it again!
Repurchase? Definately not!

Clinique Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser
I am quite a big fan of Clinique. The majority of products I have used have been great and ones I would always buy again. This is no exception. It foams up beautifully so you don't use much product and it is fragrance free which I prefer (I hate face products that leave their smell hanging around for ages!) It left my skin feeling clean and smooth and didn't dry it out at all.
Repurchase? Yes

Garnier Caffeine Eye Roll On
When I first bought this I loved the sound of the roller ball to help smooth and ease puffiness around my eyes. I loved using this, especially first thing in the morning, and it made the whole eye area feel refreshed. I didn't see any difference in my dark eye circles though and to be honest I think it was just the coolness of the roller ball that was making the area feel nice, not the actual product doing anything!
Repurchase? No - I'll just stick with my gel eye mask in the fridge

C3 Red Wine Collagen Firming & Moisturising facial mask
This left my skin feeling lovely for a couple of hours but I didn't see any dramatic difference. For the cost of these (and the fact they say use them 3 times a week) I'd prefer some of my other masks, which I actually see a difference in my skin with!
Repurchase? No

Nature's Care Paw Paw Balm
I really like balms like this as I use them on my extra dry areas (feet, knees, elbows etc). This one I wasn't a fan of though as the product left my skin greasy for a good hour or so after applying.
Repurchase? No

So those are the products I've used up over the last 2 months, i'm happy with getting through so many and August is already shaping up to be a good month for empties (which is lucky as August also turns out to be a good month for purchases.......)
Thanks for looking :)
