Lust Have It - July 2014 review

I missed posting reviews for all my June boxes... We have been so so busy on the farm as our sheep are lambing and this is one of the first times I've even sat down at my computer! Anyway, I finally made it to the post office to pick up my subscription boxes, first up for review is the July edition of Lust Have It!

Thankfully I've received a different beauty bag, this time it is mesh and I like this a lot better! At first I liked the plastic bag (first released May) but getting another was a little tedious. There are only so many plastic makeup bags I need! I planned to use it as a gift but it felt a little cheap and I ended up canning it... Anyway, I'm much happier with this. I wonder if they'll change them monthly?

So onto what I received! I am super happy to have received 2 full size products!

Marsk mineral eyeshadow RRP $24.95 1.2g
I chose to receive this in 'Rich List' which is a beautiful gold with lots of shimmer. I love this - it is a dream to apply and blends fantastically. I chose gold as I just have so so so so many black eyeshadows that I could start a shop, seriously!! I am super glad I did. The only thing is it does fall, and I found it a little hard to remove under my eyes (thanks to the glittery shimmer) without mucking up my makeup. It is also a little hard to get out of the jar, I wasted a lot the first time I used it as it just all fell out, but I'm getting the hang of it!

La Mav Organic BB Creme RRP $39.95 50ml
A very generous sized BB cream, from a brand I haven't heard of! Impressed. This is what I want out of my beauty boxes. This is an organic formula, with natural sunscreens (although it doesn't specify the factor??) and is formulated for all skin types. From what I can tell, it doesn't have a shade which weirds me out... It says "colour adaptive formula" which sounds a bit dubious but we'll see! It only has a 6 month shelf life once opened so I am not going to open until I'm ready to use it!

Ardell Self Adhesive Eyelashes RRP $9.99 per pair
I've never used self adhesive lashes and to be honest I don't really like the sound of it, I feel like it wouldn't be adhesive enough, will be good to try these out though.

Designer Brands Nail Polish RRP $6.99 12ml
Not overly impressed by the inclusion of this brand as I am not really a fan. I received the colour 'shimmer' which I doubt I'll use so I think this will be passed onto my nieces.

Aveda Botanical Kinetics Gel Cleanser RRP $54.95 150ml (received 7ml sample)
I have used this before and I wasn't a big fan, it was okay but not great (for my skin anyway) and when it comes with a price tag of over $50 it wants to be amazing.

Overall I am fairly happy with July's bag, mainly for the eyeshadow and bb cream. I can pass on the polish and the cleanser but hey you can't expect to love every single thing every single month! Next month is the birthday box, it will be interesting to see what they come up with to celebrate!
