A little disclaimer before you read on: I'm not a fan of Bellabox and haven't been for a while so this is likely to be a negative post. Please skip if you're not into that!!
This month's was missing the standard blue box and there was a card explaining why - the samples wer to big to fit. I don't mind as I have had a million boxes and they all get chucked. Besides, packaging is not what we pay for!
Onto what was in November's box:
Coastal Scents Revealed Palette Sampler (4 sample sized shadows)
RRP $34
I've never heard of this brand so it's nice to get see a new brand included. In the blurb on the info card it says that this is a Bellabox exclusive, but on researching the brand further these were given out with Birchbox, so that exclusive is nonsense...
Onto the shadows themselves, they are pretty good! The lighter colours aren't the greatest pigment but they are very soft and not chalky at all. The darker taupey shades are stunning metallics, with not too much shimmer, they are very buttery and blend well. I'm definately going to play around with these and have a look at the full size palette for sure!!
Salon Tan Professional Wash Off Spray Tan (full size)
RRP $19.99
I was happy to see this at first, but then I realised it is a wash off so I was a bit disappointed. I sprayed this on my legs and it was unbelievably dark so I tried to blend it out straight away but that just removed all traces of the product. So I sprayed again and this time waited a couple of minutes for it to dry a little before blending but the same thing happened. This is complete rubbish.
Boe Beauty Nail Enamel (full size)
RRP $2
Bellabox sure does love sending out nail polish! The colour doesn't exactly scream summer to me so I don't think it's greatly appropriate but nevertheless it is a nice shade. I just wish Bellabox would think up something new instead of sending out nail polishes every month - or perhaps a brand that is actually worth while to see!
Lonvitalite 24K Active Gold Eye Mask (1 mask)
RRP $24 (5 masks)
Apparently this mask boosts circulation through the eye socket, relieving swelling and tiredness and removing dark circles, sagging skin and crows feet. Interesting claims - I'm looking forward to giving this one a go. But really these kinds of samples are very easy to get your hands on so it's not exactly ground breaking to receive.
Palmers Multi-Effect Perfecting Facial Oil (sample)
RRP $19.99 30ml
I'm not a fan of this brand so seeing it doesn't excite me. I'm in love with my Trilogy Rose Hip Oil so I doubt I'll be venturing far from that, but I will give it a go.
BONUS!!!!!
Compeed Blister Patch (sample)
RRP $12.95 (5)
I tell you, I will not miss there stupid BONUS!!! claims, and them giving me one measley blister patch sample which you can get in any magazine... I sat there like why is this included??
To be fair though, these are really really good and I do always have some in my stash. They are heaven on a sore blister and help it to clear up quicker. Definately worth getting some of these!!
Overall, I'm utterly disappointed in this truly shit box, the only redeeming factor being the eyeshadows and they annoyed me trying to make out it's so exclusive. I've just been having a look at their facebook page and again there is such a big variance in boxes! I don't understand how they weigh up their boxes and think it's fair to send some people products worth over $80 and some people $20. That is the main thing I hate about Bellabox - plus the fact all they do is give their standard stupid non-listening responses of how they'll "take the feedback on board" or that they "loved the products!", or their flat out lies about how they take into account our beauty profiles on our accounts. Anyway! Rant and negativity over!
Good riddance Bellabox I will certainly not be missing you!!
Are you subcribed? Did you get something better than I did? Do you dislike Bellabox as much as I do?
