Lust Have It Review - October 2014

First of all my apologies for the lack of good and timely posts recently. I got married on Saturday and we had our whirlwind honeymoon in Mollymook which we've just got back from last night! I was supposed to have some drafts together ready for posting but I didn't really realise what a mind-blowingly busy couple weeks I would have before my wedding. Crazy.

Anyway, I was pleasantly suprised to walk through the door yesterday and find 2 parcels - my October boxes for Lust Have It and Bellabox. Hooray! First up, I'll review the Lust Have It October package.

Obviously this was a little late for Lust Have It as it is a couple of days into November. There are obviously some troubles happening as this is the 3rd or 4th month in a row that they've been really late. They are getting A LOT of heat for this, so hopefully they get back into their usual shipping groove sooner rather than later. At least it is a lot earlier then last month's package though, but considering the great products we received I can forgive!

Onto what I received in more detail:

Montague Jeunesse Glacial Clay Spa (full size)
RRP $4.99

At first I thought this was one of the run of the mill masks that we've all seen before but I was pleasantly suprised to see this is a cloth mask. Very nice! I'm looking forward to trying this out as the other masks I've used from this brand were very messy (mostly because of the sachet).

Colour by TBN Lipstick (full size)
RRP $3.50

I have received this lipstick before in a Her Fashion Box and wasn't very impressed. I did get a better colour this time so perhaps that will win it more points... although when I tried it last time it was very drying. I don't like that the packaging is a complete rip off of the Revlon lip butters (even down to the exact same font on the sticker!)

Glamourflage Awesome Eva Eye Mask (full size)
RRP $7.95

I really like the packaging of this one, super cute. I've never owned a proper eye mask before (except those crappy ones you get on long haul flights) so I am excited to see this! Although it is not something I have ever thought I wanted, it is good to see Lust Have It venture out into new products. Props to them for including this!

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse (sample)
RRP $24.95 50ml, $19.95 100ml

I've never used this (I know, I know it's a crime!) even though I own 4 or 5 sachets of the stuff!! I'm super duper excited to see this in a little bottle rather than the usual crappy sachet - I am far more inclined to use it now. Obviously everyone has heard just how good this stuff is so I'm looking forward to using it! Plus the bottle is adorable and will come in handy when travelling.

So Susan Intense Eye Shadow Palette with Coated Pigments (full size)
RRP $35

I actually found this palette really hard to open! I really had to dig my finger nails in to get it open. This is the perfect size for travelling however it doesn't have a mirror which is a bit of a pain. The shadows themselves look like nice colours and you could easily do a low key look for day time and smoke it up a little more for night. I did do a little swatch (below) and they did seem a little on the chalky side and not very intense (I think this will need a big dose of primer) but I'll have more of a play around with it later.

Inika Black Kohl Pencil with Sharpener (full size)
RRP $29

I am by far the most excited to see this in the box. I have used some Inika products before and found them to be great. I wouldn't say I really need another black eyeliner, but it is a part of my daily routine so I do get through them. It comes with a sharpener which is a little bonus however mine doesn't stay on the pencil - it just constantly falls off.  I'm impressed though and am glad to see a great item from a great brand. I've swatched it (above) and it does look the goods.

Overall I'm really impressed with the October package! 5 out of 6 full size products almost all from good brands. Lust Have It have really upped their game. I think there is a great mix of skincare, makeup and lifestyle items so I'm really happy. The total amount of the box was over $80 but the best part is I'll get use out of almost all of them! Well done Lust Have It, you are getting back to your best!

Do you receive Lust Have It? Were you as impressed by it as I was?
