Geez louise. Where is the year melting away to? October was a crazy busy month for me so perhaps that's why I feel like I blinked and missed the whole month! It's already nearly mid November (yes, i'm late at posting my favourites!) and I've already starting my Xmas shopping! Eeek! At least I'm getting on the Xmas bandwagon early so I'm not that stupid person trying to shop on Xmas Eve like last year (and the year before, and the year before that!)
Here are a few of my favourites from October:
The Elf Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets have been a handbag staple for me lately and I carried them around on my wedding day. They instantly soak up shine without having to add any product (particularly handy when you're in a hurry) and I find them fantastic on makeup free days. The Clinique Sonic (full review here) has been a real game changer for my skin, so much so that even my husband said my skin is looking clearer! (Note - country boys do not usually notice anything so this is BIG). I still have a way to go till my skin is what I would call 'clear' so I do still wear foundation a lot and my go to lately has been the Maybelline Fit Me in 120. This gives me the perfect finish, doesn't slide off my tzone but doesn't dry out the rest of my face either. It is a dream to blend and lasts all day. I apply in light layers to avoid caking, as it can tend to do that if you go in with to much to fast. This is fast becoming my favourite! Another favourite is the Models Prefer Eyeliner in Black. Eye liner is in my daily routine - I can't leave the house without it - and this has been a wonderful budget find.
I have recently dug out my Clinique Moisture Surge and have been using this at night. It is incredibly cooling, soothing and moisturising - without being greasy - and is perfect after a long day in the sun. Speaking of sun, as the days heat up I'm digging out the bronzer and the Loreal Glam Bronze Eau De Soleil has seriously been the best thing that has ever happened to me in the bronzing department. This baby gives the perfect amount of bronze with hardly any shimmer and just looks so.damn.natural. I LOVE YOU GLAM BRONZE. Hopefully this makes it's way out of limited edition and into the main collection. (I may or may not have bought 2 more bottles just in case... I have a problem....)
I've also been loving the Mac Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul as it gives the perfect amount of colour to my cheeks. It does have a little shimmer but it's not over the top - the only downside is the longevity, but I don't mind topping up as it's a dream to use. Another dream to use is the Maybelline Baby Lips in Lychee as it smells so damn good and gives my lips the perfect amount of hydration. Yum. This is my new daily balm.
Since splurging a little on some good quality brushes I picked up the Mecca Brush Cleaner and spray a little each time I use my brushes. It does have a strong alcohol smell but that doesn't last. I am so naughty and only wash my brushes every couple of weeks so this makes me feel less guilty. Lastly, I've been so head over heels for my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette that I can't even put it into words. Honestly this thing is amazing and so worth the money. I find these shades perfect on my skin and it doesn't cling to my fine lines or emphasise my pores. Dreamworthy! It's also so beyond pretty that I could stare at it all day.
What products have you been loving lately?
